Made with Passion
When an idea gets into my head, I lock in until it becomes a game people genuinely enjoy.
Based in Germany
My favorite games WarRock and Flyff got me in touch with C++. I modified some files, created mods, and my passion for coding was born.
After years on and off, I decided to lock in and learn game development on a professional level. I started with small projects in engines like Unity and Godot.
After a few learning projects, an idea got into my head and wouldn't let me sleep. I enjoyed ghost hunting games a lot, but they all had one thing in common: they were 3D. I wanted to be the first to bring this experience into 2D pixel art.
I had surgery, and during the healing process I wasn't able to do much. What Is The Ghost was barely touched. By the end of the year I started feeling better and locked in hard. I reworked the art style, redid essential systems, and made What Is The Ghost shine. I also implemented a multiplayer mode.
By March 2026 I had a small community, a bunch of wishlists, and the confidence I'd made a good game. What Is The Ghost launched into Early Access on March 23rd, 2026. During Early Access I'm focused on expanding the core content and polishing the game. Full release is expected late 2026 / early 2027.

I stay close to my community. I read every piece of feedback and every bug report, and roll out improvements quickly.
Every game you see is 100% crafted by a solo developer. It hasn't happened yet, but in the future I might outsource art to make even better games.
I know what one person can realistically pull off. Never overscope. Always ship the projects I start.

A 2D pixel-art ghost hunting game. Enter cursed houses and identify the ghost, always with the risk of losing your life. Alone or with friends in co-op.
The CEO of a big social media platform selects you as the only moderator. Do a good job and one day help them sell Y to a rich mogul, or drive it into ruin.
Hi, I'm Deda. Solo indie developer and dad of a son, based in Germany. I've been writing code since I was a teenager, always fascinated by computers and games.
One day I locked in and learned game development on a professional level. I prefer small to medium games that are shippable, instead of gigantic ones that will never see the light of day.
In my free time I love playing games and streaming on Twitch (deda_yo). I love engaging with my community on the Deda Games Discord server. Feel free to join and say hi!
I'm open to collaborations and publishing deals. Also feel free to check out the press kit for my games.
